When I hear stories of women being treated any less than how they should be, a part of me feels it for them.

When I hear stories of women succeeding in ways society doesn’t expect, a part of me feels it for them.

When I hear stories of women being empowered to speak out about rape, abuse, harassment, a part of me feels it for them.

When I hear stories of women accomplishing their wildest dreams, a part of me feels it for them.

When I hear stories of injustice towards women, a part of me feels it for them.

When I hear stories of women discussing feminism, a part of me feels it for them.

When I hear women cheering each other on instead of comparing themselves and tearing each other down, a part of me feels it for them.

We as women are not the same, we are unique and individual; yet there’s a power that we all share. It’s vital we find this power within us.

The power that has always and will always be there.

A power that is ours.

A power that society wants us to hide, to silence, to mask, to leave.

But it’s there; within us.

Together we are so much more than what is realised.

We can cheer each other on without losing any shine for ourselves.

We are the past, the present and the future.

We are female.

And I fucking love it.
